1. Visually inspect the workpieces transferred to the polishing process, such as whether the welds are leaked, welded through, uneven depth of the welds, too far away from the seams, partial depressions, uneven butt joints, and whether there are deep scratches Marks, bumps, serious deformation and other defects that cannot be repaired in this process, if there are any of the above defects, it should be returned to the previous process for repair. If there are no above-mentioned defects, enter the polishing process.
2. Rough grinding, use a 600# abrasive belt to reciprocate the workpiece on three sides. The goal of this process is to remove the solder joints left by the workpiece welding, as well as the bumps that occurred in the previous process, so as to achieve the fillet of the weld. Preliminary forming, there are basically no large scratches and bumps on the horizontal and vertical surfaces. After this step, the surface roughness of the workpiece should reach R0.8mm. Pay attention to the inclination angle of the belt machine and control the pressure of the belt machine on the workpiece during the polishing process. Generally speaking, it is more moderate to be in a straight line with the thrown surface!
3. Semi-fine grinding, use 800# abrasive belt to grind the three sides of the workpiece according to the previous method of back-and-forth grinding of the workpiece, mainly to correct the seams in the previous process and to further fine-grind the impressions produced after rough grinding. , The imprints left by the previous process should be ground repeatedly to achieve no scratches on the surface of the workpiece and basically become brighter. The surface roughness of this process should reach R0.4mm. (Be careful not to create new scratches and bumps in this process, because such defects cannot be repaired in subsequent processes.)
4. For fine grinding, the 1000# abrasive belt is mainly used to correct and grind the fine lines that appeared in the previous process. The grinding method is the same as the above. The goal to be achieved in this process is that the joint between the ground part and the unground part of the workpiece basically disappears, and the surface of the workpiece is further brightened. The workpiece after grinding through this process should be basically close to the mirror effect, and the surface roughness of the workpiece should reach R0. 1mm
5. Instructions for replacing the abrasive belt: Generally speaking, the 600# abrasive belt can polish 6-8 workpieces with a length of 1500mm, the 800# abrasive belt can polish 4-6 workpieces, and the 1000# abrasive belt can polish When polishing 1-2 workpieces, the specific situation also depends on the welding spot of the workpiece, the pressure used for polishing, and the grinding method. In addition, it should be noted that the replacement of the abrasive belt must ensure that the abrasive belt can rotate smoothly on the sponge wheel to achieve the purpose of uniform grinding of the workpiece.
